Volunteer Memphis and Disaster

How is Volunteer Memphis Involved in Disaster Preparedness and what does it all mean?

  • Volunteer Memphis is the official volunteer clearinghouse for Memphis and Shelby County in case of a major disaster.

  • We will open a volunteer reception center after a major disaster strikes Memphis and Shelby County.

  • Volunteers can call or walk in to find out what services are needed.

  • We will match the volunteers with disaster relief volunteer opportunities.

How can I volunteer for disaster relief NOW?

  • Disasters happen every day in our region, ranging from single family house fires to local flooding.  Shelby County Disaster relief agencies need volunteers now!  Contact us for a list of agencies and their volunteer needs.  .

  • Help protect your community by joining the Memphis and Shelby County Health Department Public Health Reserve Corps/ Medical Reserve Corps today and be apart of this great team!
